Crones & Associates, Inc. is a family owned business established by James D. Crones, PLS.  James D. Crones began his career in the surveying field in 1976.  Sixteen years later, in December 1992, James and his family opened Crones & Associates, Inc. for business.

Our small business began quickly expanding, adding more staff to meet the increasing demands, and eventually outgrowing our original "basement" office.  As the company grew, so did the need for a better way of tracking and of organizing our work, our clients, and our ever-expanding databases.

In 1995, we began developing a new computer program designed around our own needs.  Each of our staff members contributed their ideas, suggestions, and wish list of desirable features.  In 2000 we hired a full time computer programmer to develop a professional version of "Project Tracker Pro".  Over time, our staff has grown, and this program has evolved into an all-encompassing, full-featured business program.  Crones & Associates advertises in several national surveying magazines, where we now market and sell "Project Tracker Pro" to surveyors throughout the United States.

In 2000, Crones & Associates staff moved into their newly constructed, company owned, 4000 square foot building, complete with state of the art computer, drafting and surveying equipment.  Since the company owns and does not lease any property or equipment, our overhead costs are very low.

Crones & Associates, Inc. is fully staffed with experienced Surveyors, Field Crews, Project Managers, CAD Designers, and Support Personnel.  We have served as consultants and expert witnesses in Court trials.  We have performed all types of surveying services from the most simple residential boundary survey to commercial development projects and even accident scenes.  If it can be surveyed, we can do it.

Since Crones & Associates, Inc. first opened our doors, we have performed over 6,000 surveys.  Although the majority of our work is in the expanded Puget Sound area, we have performed surveys throughout the entire State of Washington.  We have completed and filed more Records of Survey than any other surveying company in the State.  This high volume of work has provided us with an immense amount of readily available field data, thereby decreasing research time and costs.  The amount of accumulated data collected over the years, coupled with our low overhead, allows us to pass the cost savings on to our clients, while at the same time providing them with high quality work.

As a family bases business, our staff and employees are all considered part of our family.  We strive to give our clients the feeling and friendliness of a local family business, while at the same time, providing a high level of professionalism and experience of a well established company.

We don't believe in charging our clients for extra work they do not need.  With every one of our clients, their projects and needs are unique.  We work with our clients to individualize our services to their specific requirements.  Our clients pay only for the work they need and request.  Another way we remain competitive.

We offer quick turn around times.  We make every effort to coordinate with our clients to work with their deadlines or last minute requirements.  We've been known to "stop the presses" for a coordinated team effort to help one single client meet their deadline.
